'1C:Mathematical Constructor' is a creative computer environment designed to support school mathematics course. The program allows you to create interactive models that combine construction, dynamic variation, experimentation, and can be used at all stages of mathematics education.
'1C:Mathematical Constructor 6.0' is:
Dynamic geometric constructions
Measurements and calculations
Functions and graphs
Conic sections and other curves
Probability theory and statistics
Areas and operations on them
Automatic verification of constructions and test cases
Text editor with formula entry
Animation of constructions
Export of drawings and applets
Flexible customization of toolbars in models
Intuitive interface
Usable tools and scripts
The dynamic visual mechanism of the 'Math Builder' provides younger students with the ability to creatively manipulate objects, and high school students with a full-featured environment for constructing and solving problems.
For the student:
Collection of interactive learning models
Create neat drawings and graphs
Self-guided exploration and experimentation
For the teacher:
Build drawings quickly when working in the classroom
Organizing students' project activities
Create tutorials and quizzes.
Collection of interactive models
This edition of '1C:Mathematical Designer' is accompanied by 'Collection of models' containing 180 training modules (about 280 separate models) with interactive tasks and demonstrations on all sections of the basic school mathematics course.
The composition of the 'Collection' was chosen so as to cover the widest possible range of topics, with an emphasis on those in which the use of the constructor's models for educational purposes is seen as the most effective. At the same time, the developers wanted to present all the different types of educational materials used at different stages of the learning process and in different types of learning activities. From the point of view of methodology, preference was given to materials that can be used within the existing system of teaching according to standard programs. The selection of models was also aimed at demonstrating the capabilities of the program.
The 'Collection' has five parts: 'Arithmetic', 'Algebra', 'Functions', 'Geometry', 'Probability and Statistics'.
The models presented in the edition can be opened directly or loaded into the system of educational process organization '1C:Education 5. School'. For this purpose, the disk additionally contains training modules packed in zip-archives and equipped with manifest and metadata files in accordance with the specifications of Digital Educational Resources (DER).
What's new in version 6.0 (compared to version 4.5)
Probability theory and statistics
Randomized experiments
Random sampling
Histograms and frequency polygons
Tables
Saving metadata and copyrights in the model
Export/import macros
Conical sections
Matrices
Complex-valued expressions
New tools for geometric constructions and transformations
Angular parameter and angle slider
Print construction
New functionality for working with sheets
Ability to enter fractions of a number ? and common fractions in numeric input fields
Paste drawings via clipboard into MS Word, MS PowerPoint documents, etc.
Methodological features
The software environment '1C:Mathematical Constructor' can be used both at home and at school in different forms of classes and with different computer equipment of the classroom,
allows to master the school course in mathematics faster and more effectively, increases memorization of the material,
provides an opportunity to study mathematics on the basis of the activity approach by introducing elements of experimentation and research into the educational process,
increases the degree of emotional involvement of students in mathematics, provides an opportunity to set creative tasks and organize project work,
demonstrates how effectively modern technology can be used to model and visualize mathematical concepts.
After a short introduction to the program, teachers and students are able to successfully use '1C:Mathematical Constructor' in lessons and at home, which has been tested in practice during testing in schools.
Technical features
The '1C:Mathematical Constructor' software environment
allows to work on computers running MS Windows, Linux, Mac OS operating systems,
provides export of created training models in the form of Internet-compatible java applets, independent from the editor program, but allowing to use all the possibilities of the constructive environment,
allows arbitrary expansion of the possibilities of the constructive environment and training models through the use of macros and built-in script programming language (Java Script),
Supports the SCORM RTE specification for integration with learning management systems (LMS).
Main Technical Requirements
Recommended computer configuration:
Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8, GNU Linux (ALT Linux, Ubuntu), Mac OS X
Pentium IV 2.0 GHz, RAM 1024 MB, HD 80 MB
1024x768, true color
