In the series "Electronic Library" of the publishing house "DirectMedia" a new supplemented and revised version of the collection of works by the masters of Impressionism has been published.
Impressionism for more than a hundred years remains one of the most famous and favorite trends of European painting. Its charm is preserved for us and bright, juicy colors of landscapes, and with amazing accuracy recreated scenes of city life, and portraits. On the paintings of Impressionists we see Paris of the XIX century: its cafes, theaters, famous cabarets Moulin Rouge and Moulin de la Galette.
The electronic album tells about the history of the development of the movement - from its origins to Neo-Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. The disk presents about 2,000 reproductions of paintings, prints and drawings by more than 30 artists. These are primarily works by the leading masters of Impressionism: Claude Monet, Edouard Manet, Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Camille Pissarro, Edgar Degas, Alfred Sisley and others.
Impressionism gave impetus to the development of several movements of painting in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including Neo-Impressionism, Cubism, and Symbolism. Therefore, the section "Post-Impressionism" includes works by painters of various directions, who developed the principles of Impressionism. Among them are Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Georges Seurat, Paul Signac, Henri Rousseau, Amedeo Modigliani, Edouard Vuillard, Gustave Moreau, Odilon Redon and many others.
