Pharmacological properties
Ascorbic acid plays an important role in the regulation of redox processes, carbohydrate metabolism, blood coagulation, tissue regeneration, helps to increase resistance. Rutin eliminates increased capillary permeability, strengthens the vascular wall, reducing its swelling and inflammation. Has antiaggregant effect, which helps improve microcirculation.
Indications for use
Hypo- and avitaminosis of ascorbic acid and rutin. As part of a complex therapy for varicose veins with pain and edema syndromes, superficial thrombophlebitis, trophic disorders and ulcers, chronic venous insufficiency, hemorrhagic diathesis.
Contraindications
Excessive individual sensitivity to the components of the drug.
With caution: conditions accompanied by hypercoagulability of blood and a tendency to thrombosis, thrombophlebitis.
Method of administration and dosage
Internally 1 tablet 2-3 times a day during or after meals. Course of treatment 2-3 weeks.
Side effects
Allergic reactions (skin rash), dyspeptic disorders, headache are possible.
Interaction with other medicines
Ascorbic acid increases absorption of penicillin group drugs, iron, reduces the clinical effect of heparin and indirect anticoagulants.
