The painting was born in ancient Novgorod and named after the family of the boyars of the Boretsky. The artists managed to convey the experience and all the subtleties of the craft to the next generation.
The background was usually made white or gold, and the main color of the painting was red. For stroke and hatching of parts, black color was used. Also often used emerald green, yellow, orange, brown shades. For an ornament that is found on almost all products, geometric shapes are characteristic: rhombuses, triangles, small circles and drops.
