The art of manufacturing the Tibetan icons of the tank has been transmitted from generation to generation for many centuries. The painting of the tank, which arose from the mixing of Indian, Nepalian and Chinese artistic traditions, is rightfully considered the pearl of Tibetan culture. The main characters of the works of the tank are divine creatures and famous religious figures: believers believed that worship of their images would protect from evil and bring happiness and prosperity. Nowadays, the art of the tank goes beyond the walls of the monasteries. It is not only not forgotten, but also reached a new level of development. The tank is a unique art in which the religious views of the Tibetans and the features of Tibetan culture were reflected.
