In the new series of books "Carte Postale" on the history of fashion from Alexander Vasiliev, as always, beauty triumphs.
The beauty of faces, the beauty of the soul, the beauty of time ...
This issue included retro photography of Russian celebrities - actors, singers and ballet dancers of the Silver Age era. It was a time when sophisticated and aristocratic appearance was highly valued in men, and carriers of this, alas, now lost the gene pool, were freely walked along the streets of both capitals of Russia. The exquisite elegance, the refined taste were then quoted along with the original masculine qualities - masculinity, honesty, nobility and mercy. Russia at that time was very close to Europe, and St. Petersburg in the 1910s was even considered the most elegant of the European capitals. And looking at the photo portraits of our stars of the pre -revolutionary period, this is impossible not to believe.
Books of the project "Carte Postale" are mini -albums that reproduce photos from the famous collection of Alexander Vasiliev. Any on them can be used as a postcard and extracted from a perforation book
