The nineties have long been. But the echo of that difficult, dark time still sounds and does not let the main character of the story calmly - Major Kirill Reshetov, to whom colleagues inform the terrible news: his former lover is brutally killed - Natalia, who also worked in the police. The siblings shocked by the news urgently traveling to Yaroslavl, where Natasha lived, and directly at the station finds out that the fifteen -year -old daughter of the deceased is his child, about whom he knew nothing. Pretty soon, Reshetov understands that this murder is somehow connected with the “Likhov affair”, which they and Natasha led almost twenty years ago.
