A series of sad events comes to the house of the newlyweds of Marusi and Paul: on the verge of bankruptcy, their family business - the restaurant burns out, the father dies, Pavel knocks down the car, and then the attempt occurs on it. It would seem what could be worse? Paul leaves no hope of returning a normal life and decides to get his father’s house, exchanging his own wife for him. And he concludes a deal with his brother. An investigation to attempt on the life of Paul is entrusted to the young and very impaired investigator Denis Gorokhov, who immediately finds the suspect. But is everything simple as it seems at first glance?
