Pierre Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) - French painter, graphic and sculptor, one of the founders of impressionism. The leading place in the artist’s work belongs to the portrait, as well as genre compositions. The main contribution of Renoir to the painting of a new direction is the use of rich and bright colors. At the early stage, the work of the master is distinguished by a powerful light -of -tendary modeling inherent in the work of Kurba. Gradually, it changed and acquired a more playful nature, a reflective environment appeared in the works, which united a person with the surrounding space, filling the canvases atmosphere of carefree and contemplation.
In portraits, the painter did not seek to give a complex psychological characteristic or reveal the inner world of the heroes, rather, he wanted to convey their youth and charm.
