The metropolitan operative Stas Khabarov is used to solving things in his own way. Therefore, he alone goes to arrest a large drug dealer, but gets a bullet in the back, and not having time to make out the attacker"s faces. Having come to his senses, Stas realizes with horror that he died and became a ghost. He has a choice - to enter the open door, from which a soft bright light flows, or stay here. However, having seen the scene from the near future, in which his wife is killed by the same unknown, he decides to stay and protect his beloved woman, whom he caused a lot of pain during his lifetime. But neither faith nor friends see Stas, and he has no idea how to give them a sign that he is here, nearby - until he meets a student Katya, who can see and hear a policeman. With its help, Stas should get to the bottom of the truth, find out who set him up and stop the killer until he reached faith.
