Nina is a botanist. Not in the sense of glasses and blue stockings, but in the most literal sense. When Nina could not even dream of the city botanical garden where she worked, that she would smile at such luck: Vladimir Shelekhov, a businessman, the heir to an old princely kind and a great original, invites her to work in his luxurious estate instead of a escaped gardener. The estate is also a living museum, a tourist attraction where people from all over the country come. And every Friday for tourists, not only the garden and several rooms with a historical situation, but also the whole house opens. On one of these Fridays, Nina witnesses the sudden death of the owner of the estate.
