From the side of the life of the border detachment of Alexei Streltsov, it seems ideal: the lieutenant colonel serves in a quiet resort town, his subordinates love him, reliable combat friends surround him, and the faithful wife and son of Danil provide a family rear. But everything changes when the new head of the service comes to them - Colonel Mikhail Loginov with his wife Svetlana.
It turns out that twenty years ago Svetlana escaped from under the crown without explaining the reasons from Streltsov, leaving a non-healing wound in his soul. Now the lieutenant colonel is ready to ask for a transfer to another part, but the strange death of the former head of the service, the test of Streltsov, makes him stay in the garrison. He has to figure out what is happening and understand where the thin line between the right to his personal life and the honor of the officer passes.
