A young metropolitan investigator Evgenia Klyuchevskaya arrives in the quiet town of Voznesensk. The authorities sent her here with a dry official wording to check the media information about the existence of a serial killer. In Voznesensk, the Muscovite will be met coolly: as in any provincial town, here since the 90s its own ecosystem has developed, where everyone is tied with each other, and in the closet of each is hidden along the skeleton.
The script was based on the real story of Mikhail Popkov, the Angarsk maniac, which shocked the whole country. His bloody trace goes away in the 90s.
