Dasha Tikhonova is an intelligent girl and the first beauty in the village. She dreamed of finishing the conservatory and becoming a pianist, but she had to stay at home and take care of her sick mother. Her neighbor Pasha was in love with Dasha for a long time, but the girl rejects his courtship-she believes that somewhere she was waiting for her best life.
