A terrible accident occurs on one of the prospectuses of the capital: a billionaire of Shumin, the head of the Bosomoil oil company, jumping into the oncoming lane, raking a doctor Krasnov. The doctor dies, his wife Zhenya, whom he takes to the hospital, gives birth in an ambulance carriage. The Bosomoil Board of Directors hires a “specialist in solving problems” Luzhin, who should hush up the case and protect Shumin from any accusations. The journalist Baksarov confronts Luzhin: he longs to bring the rich to clean water and achieve justice.
