The deputy mayor of the small provincial city Fedor Devachkov, on the basis of jealousy, kills his mistress. For a good monetary reward, he offers a personal driver Andrei to take responsibility for the crime for himself. The little daughter of Andrei is sick and for recovery, an expensive operation is required, which has no money with a very modest income.
