Still Life (CDpc)

In still life the artist demonstrates his skill, the art of transferring color and texture of things. This is a genre, the images of which are characterized by the richness of associations, bright decorativeness and illusory accuracy of depicting nature. In works of domestic painting before us presents the world of everyday private life of the artist's contemporaries. Often the subject of the painting and the author's attitude to the depicted is revealed through the subject matter.
There are more than 1200 illustrations: works by Renaissance artists, Flemish artists of the XVI-XVIII centuries, famous Western European masters of the XVIII century, as well as Impressionists and Russian artists of the XIX-XX centuries.
