Art of China (CDpc)

The material is structured chronologically and gives a holistic view of Chinese art culture: the most important types, genres and trends of art from ancient times to the turn of the IX - XX centuries.
In our collection: ceramic vessels of Neolithic cultures of V - II millennia BC, monumental sculpture, ritual vessels, mirrors and lamps of II - I millennia BC, Han funerary reliefs, Buddhist pagodas and rock monasteries, imperial palace complexes surrounded by gardens, works of easel painting on scrolls, as well as the world's first products made of silk, porcelain and lacquer.
The monuments of ancient and ancient China are presented in particular detail, taking into account the latest sensational archaeological discoveries.
Significant attention is paid to the lubok, which depicts in vivid colors the life and manners of medieval China, the world of gods, mythical heroes and heavenly beauties. Part of our collection is reproductions of masterpieces from the leading museums of China, which have not been published in Russian editions before.
