The poem "Sri Caitanya Bhagavata" is a genuine masterpiece of religious thought and world literature. She talks about the life and teachings of Sri Caitanya Mahapabhu - a preacher of pure love for God, who made a real revolution in the spiritual life of India of the 16th century. Caitanya Mahaprabhu is revered by followers as the supreme personality of God.
The author of the poem Srila Vrindavan Das Thakur is a contemporary of Sri Chatanya and a student of his nearest associate of Nityananda Prabhu.
The poem praises the first half of Mahapabhu’s life and consists of three parts: "Adi-Khand", "Mad-Hjia-Khand" and "Antya-Khand". This publication is the first part of the poem.
The book contains the original Bengal text, transliteration (highlighted by italics), translation into Russian (highlighted by fat font) and comments by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura - the Great Thinker, Vaishnavism preacher and religious reformer of the early XX century.
The basis of the book was the first edition published by Sri Caitanya Gaudiya Math in 1987
