The book of memoirs of the famous writer Julia Daniel covers the period of the 1960s and 1980s. The years of stagnation became the time of active cultural life. Theaters, art workshops, magazines were the centers of attraction of the intelligentsia. One of these magazines was the Decorative Art of the USSR, where Irina Uvarova worked in those years. She recalls the process of Sinyavsky Daniel, about the circle of the artist Boris Birger (Bulat Okudzhava, Vladimir Winovich, actors of the theater on Taganka), about Sergey Paradzhanov, about Mikhail Bakhtin, about theatrical experiments of that time.
