Yullo Stoster (1924-1970), one of the vivid representatives of Moscow unofficial art became known mainly as a book and journal schedule.
From 1957 to 1970. He issued and illustrated about 80 books for nine Moscow publishers. From 1963 to 1970 Mostly for the magazine "Knowledge-Strength" Yu. Stoster designed a work of popular science and science fiction literature for 20 numbers, in some cases its works are decorated with the cover of the magazine.
The author analyzes the relationship of the artist with publishing houses and editorial offices, writers and colleagues-artists, and also considers the style and graphic techniques used by Staster. The book reproduces about 269 of his works.
