The blind commoner Ratslava possesses neither beauty nor talent - only a stolen magical flute. With its help, Ratslava weaves songs that captivate the human mind, and because of it, she falls into trouble: she becomes part of the tribute demanded by the cunning winged serpent.
Once he was a man, but now he guards treasures, burns cities, and does not allow his prisoners to live until the next year. His rest is guarded by a fierce warrior - the leader of the stone horde, whose name resounds from the southern lowlands to the northern ice - and while the caravan with the tribute travels through the passes, Ratslava thinks about how to save herself.
Meanwhile, the exiled prince Hortim wants to rescue his proud princess sister Malik from the clutches of the dragon, but as he tries to find allies, he faces failure after failure. The road leads Hortim to distant fjords, where he unexpectedly finds something that can help him in the upcoming battles.
