The book presents the results of mediageographical research on the practices of foreign mass media covering international conflicts. The authors analyze the texts of media publications in the context of the theory of peace journalism developed by the Norwegian scientist Johan Galtung. Through the prism of mediageographical views on the processes of forming media reality, the authors examine the approaches of mass media from different countries to covering this topic. The analysis of the content of influential global mass media showed that the majority of publications do not contribute to finding ways to resolve conflicts, and often become a source of increased tension and deepening of contradictions at the international level. The results of the comparative analysis of media texts allowed for the classification of the main approaches to covering conflicts in mass media from different countries and the development of a series of proposals and recommendations for application in journalistic practice. For media researchers, sociologists, political scientists, journalists, students, and university professors.
