The textbook complies with the Federal State Educational Standard (FSES) of 2021. It corresponds to the Federal State Educational Standard of Basic General Education (approved by Order No. 287 of May 31, 2021, of the Ministry of Education of Russia) and the Exemplary Working Program of Basic General Education in History. Taking into account modern scientific research, the textbook describes the main events of medieval history, with significant attention given to the culture, daily life, and customs of medieval society.
