The vast majority of these matches were the battles of real chess titans. Since 1947, the organization of world championships, including qualifying competitions, began to engage in the International Chess Federation (FIDE) This strengthened both the prestige of the title itself and the prestige of the FIDE, who managed to authoritatively draw a draw of the world championships within half a century.
