Hieromonk Roman (Matyushin) received a gift from God, who puts him on a par with the best Russian poets. Unique conditions for creativity are given to Father Roman: he lives alone in a distant monastery, serves in the temple and day and night contemplates the beauty of the world. Father Roman can work painfully on a word, holding at hand the Church Slavonic Bible and the dictionary of Vladimir Dahl. He is in no hurry to publish his poems, does not calculate the size of the fee, keeps the spiritual world and does not want glory at all. Creativity for the father of Roman is far from the main thing in life. But this is how real poetry is born.
The collection of wonderful light included the poems of Hieromonk Roman, written in the last decade - from 2003 to 2013
