Professor of the University of Oxford, a member of the British Academy, the author of a number of studies on ancient history, John Perseon, devoted his book to the women of ancient Rome. The history of Roman women is a centuries -old story of representatives of all layers of Roman society. Women never managed Rome, but this does not mean that they did not participate in the formation of imperial policy.
