Irina Machina was born in 1958 in Moscow. He graduated from the Faculty of Geography and Graduate Studies of Moscow State University. Engaged in paleoclimatology. He founded the Children"s Literary Studio "Snegir. Emigrated in the USA in 1991. Lives in suburb of New York. Since 1992, it has published poems and articles in the magazines "banner", "New World", "Arion", "Chernovik", "Stethoscope", etc., as well as on the Internet. In 1995, the first poetry book was published, five more followed, as well as the book of translations from the American poet Craig Churi.
