Vladimir Vysotsky considered literary work the main focus of his life: "... songs require colossal finishing and polishing...", they are for the poet - "... not a hobby at all!". However, during his lifetime, Vysotsky's poems and songs were not published, despite the fact that in them the reader could find boundless merit, understanding of the human soul, and words about true love. Vysotsky's irony, his inability to conform to public opinion, his ability to see the world through the eyes of people from various social strata, and the special creativity of his work make the poet's poems and songs alive, relevant, and current to this day.
