"Gore ot uma" is a masterpiece of Russian literature, a work that is dissected into quotes and winged phrases almost from the first to the last word. "Collect all the books and burn them," "Carriage for me, carriage," "To the village, to the aunt, to the wilderness, to Saratov," "She to him - and he to me"... We use phrases from "Gore ot uma" so often that we don't even realize that they are quotes. Perhaps that is why Griboedov's bitter, sarcastic, and brilliant comedy remains relevant to this day and continues to grace the best theatrical stages in our country... "Nedorosl" and "Brigadir," comedies written in the distant "golden age of Catherine," are a true testament to the author's talent - they have not lost their relevance even in our days. After all, the character types of rich sons, ignoramuses, fools, and self-conceited individuals depicted in them are still encountered by us today, and everyone knows the legendary phrases "I don't want to study - I want to get married" or "Live and learn."
