Without barriers. Russian art 1958-2000

The publication prepared for the exhibition of the same name is dedicated to domestic art at a turning point in its development. It includes art history articles that consider the situation in Russian artistic culture in the context of socio-political and spiritual life at the turn of the XX and XXI centuries. Separate articles are devoted to the rethinking of "Soviet experience" in the new conditions, the nature of the embodiment of religious plots in the art of the 1985-2000s, as well as to continue the principles of subscription painting and the fate of the easel picture at this time. A special section includes notes on the sculpture of this time, which considers the work of individual masters (V. Sidur, V. Danilov, L. Shulgin, etc) and the artistic association "Village of Artists", as well as an abstract direction in this type of art
