In 2023, the world-renowned traveler Fyodor Konyukhov and his son Oscar celebrate the 25th anniversary of their joint work in organizing and conducting unique expeditions. Over the quarter of a century, the elder Konyukhov set twenty records under the flag of Russia in extreme sea and air navigation, mountaineering, and solo trips in the Arctic and Antarctica. The younger Konyukhov was the unwavering leader of his expedition headquarters. In his debut book, Oscar Konyukhov candidly shares the secrets of expedition work. In particular, he talks about preparing for participation in the legendary round-the-world sailing races Around Alone and Vendee Globe, the first Russian crossing of the Atlantic Ocean on a rowing boat, and a round-the-world flight in a hot air balloon. The author also draws the reader's attention to the numerous risks associated with such projects. The publication includes previously unpublished excerpts from Fyodor Konyukhov's expedition diaries, photos from family albums, drawings, and copies of documents from the expedition headquarters' archives. The illustrations in the book are done by Fyodor Konyukhov.
