Charlotte, nicknamed Sprat, lives with her mom and grandma, goes to school, and loves spending time with her best friends. They have long dreamed of forming their own gang, and just then grandma left on business and entrusted Sprat with looking after the house, garden, and chickens. The girls decide to set up their headquarters not just anywhere, but in the chicken coop. They proclaim themselves the "Wild Chickens." Now the girls can stand up to their enemies - the boys from the "Pygmies" gang who constantly bother them.
