The work of Jacob Levy Moreno, the creator of psychodrama, sociometry, group therapy, his scientific research and experiments have had a huge influence not only on the development of sociology, psychology, and psychotherapy, but also on modern culture as a whole. His name rightfully stands alongside such names as Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung, Alfred Adler, and Erich Fromm. This book dedicated to sociometric experiments, biographers of Moreno call the 'Bible of sociometry'. The author makes the reader a participant in his reflections on the structure of groups, their development, emotional attraction and repulsion among their members, the influence of these emotional choices on group dynamics, and the subjective sense of well-being of the participants. Moreno was inspired not only by studying the tendencies and motives of intragroup choices but also by the possibility of influencing the expansion of these choices through the development of spontaneity. He was inspired by the dream of 'healing' the entire human community, seeing the possibility of resolving social problems through psychological societal planning. Only in this way can human society 'stay alive'.
