Marco Polo was seventeen years old when he went to China, and forty -one years when he returned! More than seven hundred years ago, Marco Polo made an almost incredible trip for that time from Venice to China. He later described the story of this trip in the "Book on the variety of the world". She had a significant impact on sailors, cartographers, writers of the XIV-XVI centuries, and still serves as a valuable source in geography, ethnography, and history of Central Asia.
