Before you the continuation of the collection of fairy tales "Dicks" - the story "White Wolf". This is a book about the first days of Vysotsky village, about how long-time Russian people who saved from the north, founded the settlement among the impassable forest, which the river was surrounded.
White Wolf is not an ordinary fairy tale, in any case, not such as "Dicks". The main character here is not one person here, and all the inhabitants of the village, a small people who lived in one place for several centuries and stepped over a step in a step of arable land. Somewhere far in the capital replaced governments, princes and kings. Hordes of conquerors were rolled around the country, the uprisings were raised on the outskirts. In the monasteries, scientists were written in the cities, discovered in the cities, the passions of dismays and split were played on the squares. But in Vysotsky, lost in the midst of a huge Russian plain, among the age-old forests and slow foggy rivers, the time stretched slowly. All world events only distant echo responded in the life of the peasants. Residents of the village stood back to the only path leading to the Ryazan tract: their faces were addressed to the other side, to the blue-green edge of the forest. The forest fed and warmed the peasant, but he was a mysterious and hostile place. People peered into the darkness of the trees, tried to unravel the meaning of the noise of the branches and the syringe of the trunks, to understand the birds and the animal howl, to read signs on the ground, in water and in the sky.
In the story, the white wolf talks about the contract, which has long concluded the old chur with the keeper of the forest. We will tell about how the descendants of Chura violated this agreement and that it came out of it. The action of the book unfolds into one particularly cold and snowy winter, when the fate of Vysotsky was solved, in that very winter, on the outcome of which the forest retreated and the person became the most expensive owner of the neighboring places
