London. 1938
A murder is committed on the Ferris wheel, and the only suspect - the victim's wife - categorically denies her guilt, despite the overwhelming evidence against her.
Edward Ibbes - a young lawyer, takes on her case. Delving into it, Ibbes unwittingly gets caught in a dark web of conspiracy and murder.
As he investigates, Ibbes encounters two more completely improbable crimes and finds himself in danger. First, a body appears on stage during a performance at the theater, then a famous illusionist is killed in a locked dressing room backstage.
But then retired magician Joseph Spector enters the game, capable of exposing any deception. However, will his deductive abilities be strong enough to understand this convoluted series of crimes and save Ibbes?
