The book of a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences T.M.Nikolaeva proposes a new approach to the analysis of the text based on the "grammar of the text" as part of the Moscow Semiotic School. The author opposes the "traditional literary criticism", based on what T.M. Nicolaev calls the "literary convoy". Within the framework of the new approach, the book demonstrates the unobvious deep meanings of the texts of classical Russian authors - Pushkin, Lermontov and later poets - Akhmatova, Gumilyov and others. The T.M.Nikolaeva method of searching for the “narrative keys” allows us to see new and unexpected not only among Russians authors, but also trace the previously unrecognized French stream from Russian classics. The book consists of three sections: Russian -French ties, new in Russian classics and a more colorful section - analysis of modern texts.
