Johann Strauss II is a great Austrian composer, primarily known for his numerous dance compositions. Among them, waltzes hold a special place. The characteristic titles of the waltzes are skillfully reflected in the musical content. The structure of the compositions is unusual: between the introduction and coda, there are five waltz themes, forming a kind of waltz "garland."
The current series plans to publish the most complete collection of Strauss's waltzes arranged for piano. One of the 12 waltzes in this release was dedicated to the wife of a grand duke during Strauss's stay in Russia.
The publication is intended for students of music schools, colleges, universities, as well as a wide range of music lovers.
