Lidia Ivanovna Averyanova (1905-1942) is a talented poetess and translator, the author of five not published collections of poems, a dramatic man and in many ways of mysterious fate. L. Averyanova’s lyrics aroused sympathetic interest among F. Sologub, A. Akhmatova, V. Nabokov, G. Struve and others. The most valuable part of her literary heritage is "Poems about St. Petersburg", in 1937 they gained the status of “emigrant poems "And posthumously, in the extracts, were published abroad under the assigned author by the pseudonym A. Lisitskaya. The poetic work of L. Averyanova is represented in the book in the entire possible fullness, most of the poems are printed for the first time. The publication was based on materials from the funds of the Pushkinsky house (St. Petersburg) and the Giverov Institute (USA)
