The collection prepared by the Historical and Memorial Commission of the Writers of St. Petersburg includes memories of Leningrad poets, prose writers, playwrights, translators, critics, literary critics, children"s writers who died in the besieged Leningrad and on the roads of evacuation. The works that entered the collection recreate the visible features of the cultural life of the besieged Leningrad, the Leningrad Front, resurrect many undeservedly forgotten names and creations out of oblivion.
