"Vox Populi" ("voice of the people" in Latin) is a novel about the "Russian Ukrainian". In its fourth (after the trilogy about analytics), Andrei Melekhov continues the tradition of "big topics. In this case, this is the topic of the national self-determination of the Russian man living in Ukraine and has its own opinion on what is happening in a historical homeland.
The main characters of the novel think a lot and argue, and it is not wise. After all, it is necessary to do this in the context of events occurring in Ukraine, Russia and around them during the "Orange revolution of 2004.
"Vox Populi", like the previous novels Melekhov, has several original storylines. And although in this work the reader will not meet mystical characters, it will not be allowed to bored and quite earthly characters: spies and military, financiers and sales politicians, residents of Kyiv, Washington and Moscow.
In the last book, Melekhov sometimes sounds very radical opinions about the political life of modern Ukraine and Russia. These opinions are quite capable of upset and offend those who believe in the "sovereign democracy" and "elitism" elite of the two countries. But they will also be interested to trace the difficult, sometimes painful path of the Russian man trying to find their place in the postparter world of the former USSR, choose between two poles - Putin"s Kremlin and Snow-covered Maidan 2004
