The genre of the vocal cycle in the works of Robert Schumann (1810-1856) underwent significant evolution. In his later cycles, op. 104, 117, 135, there was a specific synthesis of music, literature, and theater. As a result, new genre varieties emerged, combining features of the vocal cycle and monodramas. This publication is intended for vocal students, professional performers, and enthusiasts of vocal music.
