Vladimir Alexandrovich Tambi (1906–1955)-Leningrad artist-illustrator, all his life enthusiastically painted all kinds of cars. His childhood was in the years of the First World War - which caused the rapid development of technology: tanks, armored trains, airplanes, various cars, ships and submarines amazed not only the child, but also any representative of this generation.
In this folder there are six different books issued by Tambi in the period from 1929 to 1933 - and in four of them he acted as the author of the text. Three books are devoted to ships, two more-tanks and camouflage, and the most late and “baby”-the wheel, in it, illustrating the poem by S. Ya. Marshak, the artist is close to the phenomenon of the children"s picture book of the second half of the 1920s.
