In this book, almost everything is assembled in this book about the great prince of Kiev Vladimir Vsevolodovich Monomakh, - about how contemporaries were represented and how the coming descendants were assessed. The statesman, the warlord, a talented writer, he stopped the princely civilians and, gathering a significant part of the Russian lands in the hands of his family, made a uniform of Russia. Partly, this was the reason that the name of Vladimir Monomakh became the cornerstone of the idea of the transfer of the empire on Russia, and he is part of the political myth, the formation of which began in his life on the pages of the oldest Russian chronicles- Tale of the Warranty In 1116, - and continued in the XIII-XVI centuries. Historian Dmitry Borovkov, critical coming to the information that is contained in the chronicles, made an attempt to identify the motives that influenced the creation of the chronicle image of Vladimir Monomakh, and thereby recreation of his genuine appearance
