The book is devoted to the life and activities of the first Russian certified aviation engineer, one of the founders of the domestic aviation industry and higher education, a prominent public and politician and a popularizer of flight - V.I. Yarkovsky. A participant in the first Russian revolution, he actively contributed to the reconstruction of Russian aviation after the Bolshevik coup, but was shot during red terror.
