The textbook introduces students to the works of prominent figures in the national cultures of Russia, Western Europe, and the East. The artistic and creative exercises and tasks contained in it are aimed at developing students' abilities for artistic and emotional appreciation of works of visual arts, mastering initial knowledge of plastic arts (visual, decorative-applied, architecture, and design) and their role in human life and society, as well as expressing their attitude towards the surrounding world in creative works. The textbook is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Primary General Education, approved by Order No. 286 of the Ministry of Education on May 31, 2021.
