In the second edition of the book (the previous one was published in 2010), the subject, history and prospects of Victimology, as well as existing types and forms of violence were considered. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the formation of increased victimity of the personality, or the “victim’s phenomenon”. Various situations are also considered, falling into which a person becomes a victim, namely: criminal crimes, such specific types of violence as violence against children, family violence, sexual violence (rape), school violence and violence for a non -working place. Victimology of addictive behavior is analyzed. The approaches to individual counseling in each of these cases, as well as group forms of work in the form of trainings, are described.
The publication is addressed to practicing psychologists and psychotherapists working with latent or realized victims of various circumstances. The book is valuable primarily by a selection of techniques that a specialist can use in practical work
