Kenneth Grahame (1859-1932) - Scottish writer. His most famous books, including 'The Wind in the Willows' (1908) and 'The Reluctant Dragon' (1898), have been adapted for the stage and cinema multiple times. 'The Wind in the Willows' tells in detail the story of Mr. Mole, Uncle Ratty, and Mr. Badger, who try to help Mr. Toad after he becomes obsessed with cars and gets into trouble. The novel is notable for its combination of adventure, mysticism, and the spirit of camaraderie, as well as descriptions of the Thames Valley. The basis of the novel was bedtime stories that Grahame told his son Alastair. Unadapted edition in English.
