The book offers a reconstruction of the premises and plot of the political transition carried out in Russia during the period of 1987-2018. The author of the book believes that the Soviet state represented an exemplary theocracy, recently thoroughly modernized, and that one form of theocracy or another is an inevitable companion of revolutions, shaping their culminating moment, overcoming total social disintegration. The author also argues that there is a rather rigid scenario for post-revolutionary normalization, determining the alternatives of political choice in conditions when the state is being reconstructed anew.
